Dear Paco...

I was hoping this day would never come...this was the hardest day of my life. I've never cried so much...I'm almost afraid of being dehydrated.

Goodbye for now, Paco. I'll never forget you, and I'll always love you. I miss you so much it hurts. You be good and guard the Gates of Heaven until we can all be together again. Time's different up there, so it won't be anywhere near as long for you as it will be for us. We'll be together again before you know it.

Say hi to God for me, please? I'm sure He's lots of fun to be around. Come visit us every now and then -- we'll be waiting for you.

You always were pretty patient, so I imagine you'll be good until we get there. I know you'd get a little upset if we were gone too long, but don't worry...it'll only seem like minutes until we're together as a family again.

I'm glad you were surrounded by love and comfort and peace in your life. You wouldn't have had it any better anywhere else, guaranteed!

The day we first met you was one of the happiest days of my life...and one of yours too, I bet. You really had it good here. We were so lucky to have you as our family.

You be good and don't miss us, ok? We'll be back soon, I promise. We'll toss bones for you and give you your own presents to open at Christmas, just like before.
